The PTA (Parent-Teacher Association) plays a vital role in enhancing the educational experience for our children at Selsdon Primary School & Nursery. Through fundraising events and initiatives, we raise funds to provide resources and opportunities that go beyond the school budget.
We welcome parent and caregivers involvement and appreciate any support, whether it’s contributing ideas, volunteering at events, or sharing your expertise. We understand that people lead busy lives, juggling multiple responsibilities and commitments. However, we deeply appreciate the invaluable contributions of volunteers in helping to make our events a success. Whether it’s on an ad hoc basis, part-time, or as part of a dedicated team.

Here at Selsdon Primary PTA we follow the ParentKind Constitution. We are a Registered Charity and our Charity Number is 1183324.
Our committee roles are Chair, Secretary & Treasurer. At every Annual General Meeting (AGM) held once a year these committee members are voted in to the roles.

MATCHED GIVING/FUNDING
Match giving, or match funding, is a simple way to maximise the fundraising efforts of your individual PTA volunteers. It is an informal, albeit corporate, arrangement between a company and an employee. Usually, a company pledges to match a sum of money relating to the amount the employee has either raised or donated to a charity. It is likely that there will be an upper limit and certain criteria applied, such as the recipient organisation being a registered charity. Some companies will pledge time and resources instead of money, enabling their employees to support a cause during their working week. Or a tangible service may be offered, such as the opportunity to print posters, programmes and newsletters.
PRE-OWNED SCHOOL UNIFORM
We welcome donations of uniform in good condition your child/children have outgrown (including PE kits, book bags, etc). Please hand these in at the school office in a bag marked PTA. The PTA will be holding regular second-hand uniform sales during the year and also at major PTA events.

When making a regular or one-off donation to the PTA bank account, please use your child’s first initial and surname as the reference. It is important we know where donations come from as we are often able to claim Gift Aid on donations.
